How We Test

How We Test

We evaluate storage and organization products specifically for small apartments, typically 30–50 m². Every recommendation is based on hands-on use under real constraints: limited floor space, rental rules (especially no-drill options), and the need for multi-function solutions that stay practical over months rather than just looking good on day one.

Products are selected only if they address a concrete small-space problem—vertical storage, reducing clutter on counters or floors, or improving access in tight layouts. We assess each item for footprint and capacity, stability under everyday loads, ease of assembly and installation, daily usability, and whether it remains effective after at least four to six weeks of normal use. Failure points are noted, including situations where a product does not perform well.

Independent lab data from sources such as RTINGS or Consumer Reports is used only to confirm durability or safety claims. Final rankings rest on measured fit and lived experience in constrained apartments, not external scores. Affiliate status never influences which products appear or how they are ordered. All testing notes, measurements, and observations are updated when products or conditions change.
